Adrian Martinez is the Membership Organizer with the Center for Media Justice. In their role they work closely with members of the Network to build power across movements, while centering media justice. Adrian comes to CMJ with more than a decades experience mobilizing, training, and organizing with communities on issues of racial justice, transgender justice, environmental justice, reproductive justice, and immigrant/refugee solidarity. Adrian is a 2017 YBCA 100 honoree, a proud member of the transgender community, and is based in Los Angeles, California. Adrian uses they/them pronouns.

Eteng Ettah is the Digital Media Manager at the Center for Media Justice. As a digital media strategist and strong advocate of intersectionality within social and racial justice work, she develops digital content, campaigns, and stories that shed light on how media and technology impact the lived experiences of Black communities and other communities of color throughout the U.S. Prior to CMJ, Eteng was an Account Executive at Fenton, a social change public relations firm dedicated to using communications to achieve social good. Outside of CMJ, Eteng leads bystander intervention trainings for Collective Action for Safe Spaces, a grassroots organization that ensures D.C.’s public spaces are free from harassment, particularly for women of color and transgender women of color. She earned her BS in Communications and Social Policy from Cornell University. 

Imran Siddiquee is the Communications Director at MediaJustice. They are a writer, filmmaker, and activist challenging the representation of gender and race in popular media. Their writing on white supremacy, patriarchy, and pop culture has been published at The Atlantic, Buzzfeed, Mic, and Longreads, among other publications. In 2014 they gave a TEDx talk called “How Hollywood Can Tell Better Love Stories,” and has since written and directed two short films on the topic. Imran was a founding member of The Representation Project, where they led nationwide campaigns to call-out sexism in the media. They additionally collaborate with the South Asian American Digital Archive (SAADA) to document, preserve, and share the varied histories of South Asian Americans.

Malkia Devich Cyril is the co-founder and executive director of the Center for Media Justice -- a national hub boldly advancing racial justice, rights and dignity in a digital age. Cyril is a leader in the movement for digital rights and freedom, and in the movement for Black lives—helping to bring important technical safeguards and countermeasures to people of color fighting to reform systemic racism and violence in high-tech law enforcement. Cyril is also prolific on issues ranging from net neutrality and platform accountability to digital surveillance and the communication rights of prisoners. Their comments have been featured in publications like Politico, Motherboard, Essence Magazine, and three documentary films -- most recently the Oscar nominated film by Ava DuVernay, 13TH. Cyril is a recipient of the 2012 Donald H. McGannon Award for work to advance the roles of women and people of color in the media reform movement, a 2013 Prime Movers fellow, winner of the 2015 Hugh Hefner 1st Amendment Award for framing net neutrality as a civil rights issue, winner of the 2016 Electronic Frontier Pioneer award, a YBCA 100 honoree, and a 2017 Root 100 honoree. In spare time, Malkia enjoys a good sci-fi novel and celebrating the life of their recently deceased spouse, Alana Devich Cyril.

McCrae is Deputy Director at CMJ. A SF Bay Area native, McCrae has spent 20 years working at the intersection of digital access, media advocacy and community empowerment. His roles at local, state and national levels have ranged from educator to media policy advocate to special initiatives director. Prior to his position at CMJ, McCrae was the Managing Director of ZeroDivide where he designed and implemented capacity building and leadership development projects that leveraged digital technology in under-resourced and under-served communities for social equity and justice outcomes. McCrae is currently a Board Member for Idealware (National) and an Advisor for Public Matters, Inc. (Los Angeles, CA).

Myaisha is the National Organizer on Criminal Justice & Technology at the Center for Media Justice. Myaisha brings several years of organizing experience with her from various national and local campaigns including President Obama's re-election campaign, Fight for $15, and the CLOSErikers Campaign. As the grandchild of a political prisoner, she is deeply committed to organizing people power that leads to radical transformative change and justice. Myaisha earned her BA in Black Studies at Occidental College and currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Oshen coordinates all program operations, including event logistics, database management, support for MAG-Net operations, and general program administration. He has been involved in social justice work for over a decade. An East Oakland native, Oshen has spoken on panels about issues involving homophobia in the Oakland public school system. He also co-authored a resource guide for queer-identified youth and their allies. Oshen worked for six years with a youth development organization in Oakland on issues including reproductive justice, health and wellness education, political development,
grassroots organizing, and organizational development. Oshen is a writer, artist, and student of healthy living.

Shilo coordinates organizational operations and office administration for CMJ. She has over 16 years of experience in service-based administrative and management work.  Shilo graduated from California College of the Arts, Oakland California with a fine art photography degree.  She works in her own unique style of documentary photography and is involved in multiple long-term photo-ethnography projects exploring gender, body politics and personal expression. She has served on the board of LVA: Lesbians in the Visual Arts and was a Project Photographer for the Bay Area Women of Color Photo Project. Her art has been shown at many exhibitions across the country and has been included in The Kinsey Institute Gallery's permanent collection as well as several print publications.
